In 1980, Anne Marie and Thomas B. Walker, Jr. donated $1.5 million to develop Vanderbilt's management library collection. This initial gift and the Walkers' continuing support have ensured that Owen Graduate School of Management students, faculty, and staff have the resources necessary to compete with other top business schools. Mr. Walker is a partner of Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Texas.

Walker Management Library - Providing world-class research support to the Owen community.

Built in 1982, the library occupies one quarter of the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. It adjoins a landscaped courtyard and first floor common area. Offering a business-only library with such a convenient location is unique among top-tier business schools. The Library provides wireless access, ample work tables, comfortable seating arrangements, and 21 study rooms for team projects and study groups. However, you don't have to be in the building to benefit from the best the Library has to offer.

What sets the Walker Management Library apart is the expert staff and premier information databases. The Owen community has access to these Library resources virtually - wherever and whenever. The staff is poised to be a partner in research, offering assistance by email, phone, appointment, or simply stopping by. The Library's premium business databases include resources relevant to Owen’s curriculum and concentrations, including Accounting, Health Care and Finance.

The Walker Management Library is named in honor of Anne Marie and Thomas B. Walker, Jr. Their initial gift in 1980 and their continuing support have ensured that Owen Graduate School of Management students, faculty, and staff have a nationally respected business library.

Walker Management Library is a division of the Jean & Alexander Heard Library system.
