Placing Course Materials Reserve

Use the Contact Us form to submit your reserve requests.  Please do this at least two weeks in advance of the time they will be needed by the students.

The Walker Management Library can place the following items on reserve for your students:

• Books: Books owned by any of the Vanderbilt University Libraries as well as personal copies of books
• E-books: If an electronic version of a text is available it may be linked to Blackboad
• Study Guides and Solution Manuals
• Journal Articles: Print or electronic journal articles can be posted to courses in Blackboard
• Videos, DVDs, and Sound Recordings: The library has equipment that students can use to access these materials
• Equipment Video cameras, digital cameras, or equipment for course projects

Tips & Reminders

• When using material from a book, please note that most publishers will not permit use of more than 10% of a book that is still in print.
• Be aware that some publishers will not permit electronic reproduction of their material at all; these items will need to be put on print reserve.
• Reference, periodicals, and other restricted materials: These are generally not eligible for reserve since they are already available for use in the library.
