Library Computers, Equipment, and Technology
Hardware: There are 10 library workstations with USB ports.
Software Available: Microsoft Office 2010 (including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, InfoPath, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat.
Browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox.
Printers: 3 black and white printers; 1 color printer.
Other printers available in the in the OGSM lobby outside the library entrance.

Wireless Access: Management Hall is fully covered with 802.11 a/b/g wireless. For more information about VU's wireless internet access, see ITS Wireless.
Off-Campus Access: Most library subscription databases are available off campus. For more information, see the Databases A-Z page.

Photocopiers: There are two black and white photocopiers in the library. The copier on the 1st-Floor scans to email or USB, the 2nd Floor copier is located near the elevator in the alcove. Both machines take change, dollar bills, and the Vandy Card. Photocopies are $.10/page. Ask for change at the Service Desk.
Transparencies: Black and white copies are $.25 each. Color copies are $1.00 each. Ask at the Service Desk.
Microphones & Presentation Mice: Wireless microphones for use in Owen classrooms. USB-enabled wireless presentation mice with laser pointers.
Audiovisual Equipment/Performance and Event Equipment (Owen only): Digital cameras, camcorders/w light attachment and tripods, audio digital recorders, wheasels (easels on wheels), and a Fender PA system. Reservations for equipment can be made at the library Service Desk, by calling 615-322-2970, or by sending a message through the Contact Us form.
